What to Use to Keep Your Vehicle Clean

What to Use to Keep Your Vehicle Clean

Once it starts to get cold, though, your vehicle will get dirty in other ways too. Here are some items to use to keep your vehicle clean, so you don’t need to go to a commercial car wash.

As we enter November, we might see some unseasonably warm weather. But that won’t stop leaves from falling on your car and leaving grimy streaks. Washing your car or truck is an activity that you probably do all the time in the spring and summer when it’s warm outside. Once it starts to get cold, though, your vehicle will get dirty in other ways too. Here are some items to use to keep your vehicle clean, so you don’t need to go to a commercial car wash.

Foam

You don’t need to get dish soap out the kitchen to clean your vehicle anymore. That’s because dish soap is meant to clean plates and other dishes. Using foam soap is much better for taking care of your vehicle. These products are formulated to get rid of dirt and debris while leaving no acid behind that can ruin the paint job on your vehicle.

A Microfiber Towel

Besides the foam soap, you will need a microfiber towel to use. If you don’t use microfiber, then you could damage the exterior of your vehicle. It doesn’t matter what vehicle you have. The microfiber will capture dirt and salt and anything else that might stain your ride. Although microfiber towels are durable enough to last you for years, it’s important to get more than one and keep them on hand in case you need to replace one.

Degreasing Products

Grease doesn’t seem like a problem for most cars, at least on the outside. But degreasing products can be useful to clean out the engine and the undercarriage. You can also use the degreaser products to clean out various vehicle accessories. The carpets, floor mats, and chrome accessories of your car or truck need to be cleaned from time to time, but you must remember to dilute the degreasers first.

Clay

This may sound like a bizarre suggestion, but hear us out. Even though you could spend much of your time fanatically cleaning your car, it might not be enough. If you plan on going off-roading, your truck might be too encrusted with dirt and mud for conventional cleaning methods to work. Some clay and some detailing spray will lift the grime from the exterior of your vehicle, and restore its wonderful shine.
